Clare is a Claymore whose job is to seek and destroy Yoma (demons). However, she become a Claymore because she wanted revenge! Well, apparently that caused her her live as she has been cut in half! Presumably that is because she is the main character in Claymore, if she dies wouldn’t the story end already?.

She is an angel in a special Purgatory for lost souls whom have regrets in their former lives before they move on. Sadly, her swords or known to her as hand sonic is to defend herself and not to fight. She still did kill the lead character in episode one of Angel Beats though!!!
