According to this article here, the RIAA found another target in their on-going battle against piracy. Usenet.com is in sight of the RIAA’s crosshair. More to come after they take down Usenet.com. And the cycle goes on and on. It’s never going to end.
Like I have said in my previous post The War of Piracy, they the AA’s can go on suing till the end of time. As long as there are reasons for people to buy pirated stuff, it is not going to stop. Either ‘Shut Down The Internet‘, or find another approach. Stop trying to tell us to “Buy originals”. We heard you the first 1000 times, repeating calls about educating and other threatening tone won’t make much differences. People will still find ways to pirate and buy pirated stuff.
Want to make a difference? Then LISTEN to us consumers. Given a choice, if originals become affordable, I would be the first one to jump on it. Unlike some anti-piracy people who only consider one side of the story, while ignoring the other side of the story. Like I have mentioned in ‘Why people choose to buy from pirates.‘, there are more reasons than just ‘because pirated stuff are cheap’.
Give us reasons to buy originals and not just sent out the lawyers. Give us quality music, movies and products. We just want to enjoy good entertainment while we still can. Don’t you?
